It's a Boy!

I have been trying to get our blog up for a few months now, but it has been difficult trying to find the time. Now that classes are over for the summer I might be able to get something done once in a while. I figured that this would be a great first post anyway. We found out we were going to have a baby in the beginning of January, but decided we wanted to keep it a secret as long as we could. So for the first 20 weeks we said nothing about it. After finding out the gender about 2 weeks ago we decided that I just would not be able to hide out in giant shirts anymore. We are so excited to be having a little boy! I always had a feeling that I would have a boy first, though a girl would have been great too. As long as I get a girl eventually I will be happy. This will be the 12th grandchild in Justin's family, but the first to carry on the Barrett name. His dad was pretty excited about that. It will be the second grandchild on my side, as long as everything goes according to plan. My sister Jodi is pregnant also. She is exactly two weeks ahead of me and she is having a girl. My mom is so excited to be a grandma. That is all she has ever wanted to be. She has already bought us a bunch of clothes and things and has a brand new highchair already waiting at her house for the grand babies. I also have already purchased a lot. We have known its a boy for just over two weeks and I already have several piles of clothes. Justin just shakes his head at me and tells me we have plenty of time still, but I just cant help myself. I am due on September 19, which still seems like forever away. But I guess we aren't quite ready anyway...hopefully by then we will be.
